# Section-header photography inventory

Reviewed September 15, 2026. All four files are stored locally in `/public/headers/` and served from `/headers/`. All are **temporary prototype assets**. No reuse license or photographer release has been verified. Obtain written County/rights-holder approval before production; public availability is not permission. Credits below identify the source publisher, not an assumed photographer.

## Rendering and accessibility

All are contextual decoration with `alt=""`; they convey no required service information. Headings and introductions remain live HTML on the existing cream background. Source-credit links sit in the bottom-right of each photo box. No image overlay or green fade is used, following the user’s revised direction. No text is newly embedded in image pixels. The existing pavilion sign is part of the photographed location.

Images appear in a separate right-hand box next to the heading and introduction. Desktop boxes share a 320px height; tablet boxes use 360px. On phones the text comes first and the photograph is a compact 180px-high box below it. Text can expand without clipping; credits remain anchored inside the image box. No new filter, grain or artificial HDR is applied.

News & Alerts remains typographic because none of the researched images added useful news context. Services, service details, search, Directory, administration and proposal review remain typographic. Other departments retain their optional-image fallback rather than implying all offices are inside the courthouse.

## Production photography shot list

- Courthouse exterior from multiple angles, including landscape compositions with space for headings.
- Courthouse entrance and limestone details.
- Commissioners’ room, both empty and during an approved public meeting.
- County employees assisting residents, with documented permissions.
- Department workspaces and services, with permissions and no exposed personal information.

Request original photographs at least 2400 pixels wide for landscape headers, plus alternate portrait compositions. Record photographer, date, exact location, allowed uses, attribution and releases in WordPress media metadata.

## Validation

All header images loaded locally at 390, 768 and 1440 CSS pixels, without horizontal overflow. Photo boxes share a height at each breakpoint; enlarged text may grow the header to avoid clipping. Temporary test styles doubled heading and paragraph sizes (76px mobile / 96px desktop headings); tested Government, Residents and Visit without clipping or horizontal overflow, then removed the test styles. This is a text-size stress test, not a full accessibility certification.
